Here is what I am working on right now. Aren't these cute little baby quilts!
I think I will add a dark blue border. Hmmm, I think they need a narrow border first. What do you all think? White? I wish I had enough of the birdie fabric for it.
I just love this little birdie and ladybug fabric. Look close, there is even a tire swing hanging from a tree!
What am I going to do with these you ask? Well, one will go to Touching Little Lives and the other will either go to my Etsy shop or be set aside in case I need a baby gift one day.
You are right.. that is the most adorable fabric. Is it Japanese?
ReplyDeleteAnd I think a narrow white border then a dark blue one would look really good. Love the colors in these quilts!
Cute fabric love the little tire swing. Yes a nice narrow border in white then blue.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, very kind of you.
Very cute birdie fabric. I'll swing the other way and suggest one of the colors you have in the blocks for the first border. I think that perhaps a white one would just meld into your pieced blocks and get a little lost.
ReplyDeleteI have some of that fabric. I LOVE how you used it in the baby quilts. I'm going to say no more white. I agree with Linda
ReplyDeletei love these, so super cute
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is just darling!! I agree, no more white. Definitely frame it with another color.
ReplyDeleteCute fabric its a bit like a scrapbook paper i am working on. I agree with Linda & Stephanie no more white although choosing colours, in quilting or scrapbooking is not my forte. No doubt you will probably have them finished by the end of the week (puts me to shame) Looking forward to seeing what you decide.

Sweet focus fabric - just perfect for baby quilts! I would probably go with a narrow blue border, with a wider white outer border. Can't wait to see how they turn out!
ReplyDeleteI love the birdie fabric, too - is there no chance of getting more?
ReplyDeleteHugs - Lurline♥
Oh Rumi they are darling, is the fabric Out of print! I would do a border of white then the blue binding, the white would frame the quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet lollipop tree fabric. I think 2 borders would look good. What about a white then a pieced wide one using the left overs of what you already used?
ReplyDeleteI love the squares, will make a wonderful quilt...
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric - I bought a ton of that Heidi Grace stuff myself - can you find any yardage fo the white with the ladybugs? Or the blue one that matches from her line? Those might make cute border fabrics!!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute quilts!
Adorable baby quilts. Lots of suggestion on how to do the border which you probably have done so I will wait and see them.
ReplyDeletecute fabric..........they look great.......perfect for babies.........
ReplyDeleteCute cute cute. Love the colors, pattern and fabric. Nice Rumi.
