Red scrap quilt

Hi Friends,

I have been a busy gal lately. I have been lucky enough to have had a nice little run of local orders for my organizers. (I blogged about them on March 28th--I haven't yet learned how to hyperlink you to that post) Anyways, I have done no personal sewing so nothing new to report. Until I catch up on my orders, I will show some past projects.

A few years back I made this scrap quilt for my friend Ang when she had her first daughter. She wanted a larger than average sized baby quilt; I made it so it could be used well into toddlerhood.

Her new daughter's room had a Winnie the Pooh theme and it may be very hard to see on the screen but the backing is Winnie the Pooh fabric that I striped with the same red print that I used for the border and binding.

Talk at you later, Rumi

  8. What a lovely gift and a sensible size too. Toddlers like nothing better than to snuggle on the sofa with a quilt when they are not so well. I am a fan of Winnie the Pooh too. I have even played Poohsticks on the bridge near Wittenham Clumps when the Pooh Sticks races are held. :-)
