Spring Scarf

I was browsing around the Purlbee site and came across a scarf pattern that I truly loved. It is knit with fingering weight yarn in a checkerboard lace pattern. (April 1, 2009 post). While it is too late in the season to wear now, it will be perfect for cool spring days next year. Love the spring green yarn I found at my local yarn shop. I took this project with me to Florida and while everyone else was poolside, I stayed in and knit. Now that's my idea of a vacation. No chores, no appointments, no work, very little cooking and time to knit in the middle of the day!

This is about 1/3 done and will look much nicer once it is blocked.

My daughter moved back home while she looks for a new job. She brought home a fun video game called Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix. Too fun! She had my feet tangled in a mess but it was fun. You follow the arrows to the beat of the music and it scores your accuracy.

Miki is quite good at it; and at the higer levels, you will get a great workout! Here are her fancy steppin' feet!

That's all for today. Talk at you later. Rumi

  3. Love your scarf - I'm not a really experienced knitter, so will have to look up blocking, or maybe you will tell us about it!To stay indoors and knit would be my idea of heaven, too!

  9. What an interesting game. Now is there a version you can just poke your knitting needles at to get the exercise without losign a stitch? Well done on the scarf- it's looking good.
