Mug cozy and book light cozy

Daughter Lucky just got a new job in Minnesota and moved there last week.  While packing up her things, she came across her full sized booklight that I had promised (about a year ago!) to  make a cover for.
Well, she didn't want it to get scratched in transit so I got right on it.

She likes Giraffes.
I made a cover for her paperback size booklight HERE.

She also asked for a cozy to put over her mug while her tea was brewing.

If she ever decides to get a little teapot, this cozy will fit that too. As is, she is moving into a tiny studio apartment with a tiny kitchen so must minimize her "stuff".

I'm happy that she has this new job and a start on a great career but I will miss having her around on a daily basis.

  1. Love both of your the choice of fabrics as well.

  2. Daughters are awesome. I love giraffes too. Daughter Lucky is lucky to have a talented Mom Lucky! Very cute cup cozy.

  3. I know what you mean Rumi. At least you know that she is taking a little of home and a lot of love with her.

  4. congrats to your daughter. I hope she will be very happy. great things you made for her. times are tough and my daughter is still looking for a full time job.

  5. How exciting for your daughter, all the best to her on her new journey. How our lives continually change. That tea cozy looks gorgeous.
Happy Easter to you and yours.

  6. clever covers! And you are just the speediest seamstress!! just think about the fun you will have visiting her.
