Haven't been spending lots of time in my sewing room. I'm trying to spend more time getting other things done during the day--like getting the house in better shape and getting me in better shape. My evenings, though, are free for an hour or so of knitting to wind down from my day. I can't seem to sew in the evenings. I'm tired enough to make careless mistakes! Not so much while knitting--as long as the pattern is not too intricate.
This is what I just completed (remember the sneak peek in the last post!)
A creamy colored baby blanket.
Close up.
Who is this little charmer for? Oh, I don't know yet. I will put it in my "gifties" box so it will be ready and waiting the next time I need a baby gift. I like to have some Christmas, birthday, baby etc gifts on hand. I have a large plastic box that I add things to throughout the year. Do you do the same?
Talk at you later, Rumi
Oh, that is so beautiful. I know the baby will love to snuggle in it.

I love those soft lacy patterns. My goal this year is to have a box of hand crafted gifts ready to go - so far though haven't managed to get it going....one day soon I hope...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and delicate. It's such a good idea to have a gift box at the ready. I just started doing this.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely Rumi and no i dont have a gifty box as i seem to give everything away as soon as i have made it. Someone just has to say ooo thats nice and i give it to them.
ReplyDeleteOO it's a blanket! How gorgeous! It came out so well. Yes I know what you mean about needing to get the house sorted and spend less time crafting. I'll be having a proper bottoming out in the house for Spring.
ReplyDeleteOh Rumi, that is precious...you are so talented!
